Chi Ye translates to "Red Leaf", and is a newer variety of dancong oolong. Descended from the Bai Ye, or "White Leaf" cultivar, Chi Ye's leaves retain a lighter, more auburn shade than typical yancha. Fruit forward, with highly structured mineral complexity. This is a light and friendly tea; one that is unfathomably deep, but also simple, elegant, and approachable.The age tempers the charcoal forward notes, and further emphasizes the aromas of sandalwood and baked plums.
