
Beidou, which translates to "North Star", is directly descended from the famous Da Hong Pao mother bushes. During the 1950s, the scientist Yao Yueming managed to take two successful cutting from the original mother plants, and after ten years of development, released the plants commercially. The aging process mellows the flavors, deepens the body, enhances the woody characteristics, and smooth the brew into a rounded, unified experienced.
