Wet earth after a storm, damp leaves, mineral-rich spring water, cultivated mushrooms, antique wood shop - these are impressions left by this sublime aged Sheng. The body is slightly dry, bright and structured, powdery on the back and sides of tongue, yet bountiful and generously thick with flavor. Mirthful with the structure of a younger Pu'er and "Mireful" as an older Sheng with flavors of wet earth after the rain. Nourishing and hydrating, the body feels refreshed after a session but not over-stimulated. The cakes were stored in a private Taiwanese collection for twenty years with consistent light, humidity and temperature. These ideal storing conditions have yielded a beautifully balanced tea. Old-growth material from Yiwu and Nannuo Mountains combine to bring depth and energy to this wonderful addition to the Living Tea collection of aged Sheng Pu'er. Mirth and Mire brews very patiently and we recommend setting aside ample time for your tea session.
