Que She, "Sparrow's Tongue", is named for the appearance of the small, delicate leaves resembling the hungry tongues of baby sparrows. This is an old cultivar, descended from the original Da Hong Pao, and was used as tribute tea during the Song Dynasty. The flavor and aroma are so refined as to be narrow and singular. For this reason, it is often used in blends. A soft mouthfeel carries a flavor akin to creamy orchids, echoes of incense, and caramelized drupes.
