Ba Xian translates to "Eight Immortals" and is a reference to the original eight plants that were used to create this cultivar during the Song Dynasty. From these eight mother plants, only one survived, and all Ba Xian plants are descended from it. The brew from this tea has a strong body, an immense cha-chi, and dry-roasted, floral notes; rounded minerality and smooth malt.
