Shou Mei's literal translation is "Longevity Eyebrow", referencing the eyebrow shape of the leaves and tying in the customary belief that this tea can enhance longevity. The leaves are allowed to grow later in the season than the Bai Mu Dan cultivar, which causes the leaves to grow larger, thicker, and coarser.
The is a very hearty tea that brews a beautiful golden nectar, full of candied jujube and floral notes. A perfect candidate for brewing in the kettle, cauldron, or bowl. This tea is very easy to brew, and almost impossible to overbrew.
